Rullst: a page comes alive · Lesson 03 / 06

A page with meaning

Before colors, a page needs structure. A heading and a paragraph tell the browser different things.

Let's discover together

  1. 1

HTML describes a page’s structure. h1 marks its main heading; p marks a paragraph. These names help browsers and reading tools understand the content.

  2. 2

In Rust code, Rullst’s html! macro can build this HTML. The <h1> tag opens the heading and </h1> closes it. Content goes between them.

  3. 3

Structure is not only about font size. Large text does not magically become a heading. We choose the right element, then style its appearance.

YOUR MISSION

Choose HTML elements by meaning and read their order on a page.

Discovery workshop

The page pieces

Our garden has a main heading and a short description.
Mini experiment

Learning simulation: compare cards and check your predictions. The browser is not compiling Rust or starting a server.

A moment to understand

Why use h1 for the main heading?

I need a hint

HTML describes roles such as heading and paragraph; appearance can change later.
