Let's discover together

  1. 1

Anyone can view a public repository. A private repository limits access to authorized people. You can start privately while learning; Rullst Academy progress does not depend on publishing.

  2. 2

README.md introduces the project. index.html contains the page. Passwords, tokens, keys and personal data should not be included in uploaded files, even in a private repository.

  3. 3

.gitignore tells Git to ignore untracked files. It does not remove secrets from history or filter files uploaded manually through the browser. Always review the files you select.

A moment to understand

A key was uploaded. Does adding .gitignore fix it?

I need a hint

Ignoring a file does not undo the exposure of a credential already uploaded.
