Let's discover together

  1. 1

A branch is a line of development within the same repository. main is often the main branch, but other projects may use a different name.

  2. 2

Create add-discoveries from main and make your commits there. The main version stays the same until the changes are incorporated.

  3. 3

A branch is not a privacy barrier: people who can read the repository can see its branches. Use repository visibility and permissions to limit access.

A moment to understand

What happens to main while you only commit on the new branch?

I need a hint

Commits on a new branch do not automatically move the main branch.
