When the plan changes

The club expected half an hour with a tablet, but the device became unavailable. The goal was to explain a discovery. Can the group keep that goal using another method?

Let's discover together

  1. 1

The goal was to explain the difference between two leaves. The tablet was a tool for that. Paper, speech, drawing or cards may also support an explanation, depending on the group’s needs.

  2. 2

First, check what changed and what remains available. Then choose an alternative that preserves the goal and agree the change with participants. If an essential accessibility resource is missing, seek support or another time.

  3. 3

Afterwards, ask what worked and what needs adjustment. Returning after a break is a restart, not a debt. A useful plan can change without erasing previous learning.

When the plan changes

The tablet is unavailable. The group has large cards and confirms that everyone can use them.

A moment to understand

Which change preserves the club’s goal?

I need a hint

The tool may change when the alternative supports the same learning action. Access must be checked for the participants.

Take it with you

Invent a disruption to a club task. Write the goal to preserve, an alternative and a condition in which asking for support or postponing would be better.
