Permission has a purpose

A drawing app asks for the microphone, but Lumi only wants to draw a silent island. The useful question is not “accept everything?” but “what does this task need?”.

Let's discover together

  1. 1

Permission authorizes a kind of access. Camera, microphone, location and files serve different purposes. Understand who is asking, why and for how long; refusing a permission may block one feature without blocking every other feature.

  2. 2

Drawing without sound needs no microphone in this scenario. If you later choose to record narration, you can assess that permission for the new task. Do not accept a request merely because it appeared.

  3. 3

Before sharing, check content, recipient and access. Public may allow anyone to read. A shareable link does not always restrict access to the people you intended. Use only fictional data in this path’s projects.

  4. 4

Permissions can be reviewed in application, browser or system settings. Revoking future access does not erase copies someone already received. In the Rullst Academy, publishing to GitHub is optional and requires checking the repository and file before confirming.

  5. 5

When reusing an image or code excerpt, check its license and required attribution. Being available to view does not mean permission to republish. For this project, create your own fictional material or use something whose permission you can explain.

✦
YOUR MISSION

Relate permissions to purpose and distinguish sharing a file from publishing it for everyone.

The access that is needed

Lumi draws without audio and shares only an imaginary island.
Build your answers and check when you are ready.
A moment to understand

You revoked access after sharing a file. What can you claim?

I need a hint

Revoking does not automatically retrieve copies that already left the system.

Loading your journey…

Take it with you

Invent one task that needs a microphone and another that does not. Explain what you would ask before allowing access, without changing real permissions to complete the lesson.

My files and GitHub

Every lesson can become your own record: code, notes or a practice plan. Saving a file to GitHub is optional and does not change your XP.
