Robotics: Tico’s garden · Lesson 06 / 06

Mission: a well-tended garden

You now know the pieces of the reasoning. Bring readings, decisions and records together in a plan for Tico.

Learning paths8 min

Let's discover together

  1. 1

The imaginary mission permits at most four forward moves. Before each one, read the sensor and apply the path’s rule.

  2. 2

Stop upon reaching four moves or when the reading says stop. Record how many moves actually occurred, without confusing the limit with the result.

  3. 3

After completing the path, download the decision lab and customize a mission. Your notebook can go to GitHub through the files workspace; the full kit includes manual upload instructions.

✦
YOUR MISSION

Complete a decision plan with a movement limit and explicit tests.

Now it's your turn

Discovery workshop

Mission: a well-tended garden

Maximum: 4 moves. Readings received before each attempt: 30 cm, 25 cm, 20 cm. The 20 cm reading ends the mission. Only valid readings above 20 cm allow movement.

A moment to understand

Which record best represents the mission?

I need a hint

A useful record lets someone else check the decision.

How can I tell what I learned?

Use the objectives and challenge below for reflection or a conversation with someone who can help. This is guided self-assessment: it sends no answers, awards no XP and does not automatically verify independence.

In Discovery, explain an idea in your own words and apply it to another simple example. Drawings, speech and adult support are valid. Record what help you needed.

Your transfer challenge

Customize the lab: give the robot a fictional name, describe the mission and create three tests. The kit runs in the browser and does not control equipment.

Keep evidence: prediction, attempt, result, an original change and what you still cannot explain. Seek feedback when possible; if studying alone, return later without copying and compare attempts.

Try again another time

After a break, explain the idea without opening the solution and try a different example. Compare with your first attempt: what can you do independently, and where do you need a hint? You may write, speak or draw; choose a way to check the same idea. Record help received, including AI, and revisit the part you need. There is no universal deadline or extra XP for this record.

Completions and XP record Rullst Academy assessments. An introductory track can help everyday life and prepare further study; alone it does not prove complete mastery or professional readiness. Level indicates depth, not age.

My files and GitHub

Every lesson can become your own record: code, notes or a practice plan. Saving a file to GitHub is optional and does not change your XP.
