Mission: investigate the promise

An ad says an update makes the robot finish a maze in half the time. You will test that promise carefully.

Learning paths8 min

Let's discover together

  1. 1

Turn the promise into a question: does the same robot complete the same maze faster after the update? Use time in seconds as the measure.

  2. 2

Choose comparable conditions before testing. Record times before and after, repeat, and keep results that do not match the promise too.

  3. 3

Compare the records. Say what they support, what they do not support and what limitations remain. Do not change the rules after seeing the result to force a win.

YOUR MISSION

Order a short investigation plan, from the question to a revisable conclusion.

Your investigation plan

Use the arrows to build a sensible sequence.
  1. Compare records and explain limitations.
  2. Measure before/after and repeat.
  3. Define the question and measure.
  4. Plan comparable conditions.
Build your answers and check when you are ready.
A moment to understand

If the result contradicts the ad, what should you do?

I need a hint

An investigation checks a promise; it does not guarantee the promise will win.

How can I tell what I learned?

Use the objectives and challenge below for reflection or a conversation with someone who can help. This is guided self-assessment: it sends no answers, awards no XP and does not automatically verify independence.

In Discovery, explain an idea in your own words and apply it to another simple example. Drawings, speech and adult support are valid. Record what help you needed.

Your transfer challenge

Create a question about an everyday activity and describe a safe test without collecting other people’s data. You can now explain what would change your mind.

Keep evidence: prediction, attempt, result, an original change and what you still cannot explain. Seek feedback when possible; if studying alone, return later without copying and compare attempts.

Try again another time

After a break, explain the idea without opening the solution and try a different example. Compare with your first attempt: what can you do independently, and where do you need a hint? You may write, speak or draw; choose a way to check the same idea. Record help received, including AI, and revisit the part you need. There is no universal deadline or extra XP for this record.

Completions and XP record Rullst Academy assessments. An introductory track can help everyday life and prepare further study; alone it does not prove complete mastery or professional readiness. Level indicates depth, not age.
