Run the command below in Terminal as your user, without sudo. Read the options and use the default stable installation unless your environment has different instructions. Rustup selects the Mac’s architecture.

Close and reopen Terminal. Check rustc --version and cargo --version. If a command is not found, follow the installer’s PATH guidance; it does not mean everything needs reinstalling.
